Sermon:  "A Path to Be Followed"

Scripture: Matthew 21:1-11

We often link our lives with a road or path.  We also look at that path as the “right path” or the “wrong path”; the “straight path” or the “crooked path”.

This Sunday, Palm Sunday, we will look at the path Jesus took into Jerusalem as a familiar path for many of the time that made that journey to celebrate Passover. Jesus himself made that journey many times from the time he was a small boy.  So this was a familiar path for him.  However, this time, that first Palm Sunday, would be different.  This would be a unique journey.  Rather than walking, he would be riding a young donkey, people would be lay palm branches, and there would be shouts of, “Hosanna!  Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord”.  The week following would be one where the cheers would stop, and turn to, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him!”  Jesus knew this would be a unique journey where he would see and end to his earthly life.  But He did it so our paths may be straight.

Special musical presentations by the Little River Choir.  Come and join us - all are welcome!
